History of UtilityScanIR™

On August 22, 2002, eight experts in utility predictive maintenance and advanced infrared technologies gathered in Florence, SC to discuss the formation of a new company to provide excellent infrared predictive maintenance (IR-PdM) technologies, specifically designed for utility destribution equipment. The first meeting ended with the formation of "Utilities PM Group".

Over the past few years the group has reviewed
market data, business models and members
have performed work for utilities, constantly
improving the data collection and reporting
processes.

In the summer of 2006, Stockton Infrared
Thermographic Services, Inc. (SITS)
ElectriSCAN™ division, formed UtilityScanIR™
to operate the company.
